The town of Pruna is home to a monument declared to be of cultural interest – the Castillo de Hiero (Iron Castle). Although little remains from the original structure, visitors can still appreciate the remains of this 15th century building. But the towns’ history goes deeper than this. Several artefacts from the Greek period, when Pruna had its own currency, have been found. Roman era ceramics and tombs have been found here too.
