Imagine a night out at the races at any time of
the year. This dream is made reality at the Costa del Sol Race Course.
Due to the exceptionally good climate, when the UK season is over,
many owners bring their horses over here and the racing continues.
Whether in winter or summer, the experience is fun and in the beautiful
surroundings of the sub tropical Mediterranean, likely to remain
etched on your mind until you have to go back again.
The racetrack is not the only feature of this
complex, which is now the largest leisure complex on the coast.
With over 300 livery horse boxes in use at present
and a second phase of the stables underway, there will soon be a
total of 650 boxes available, with many people using these excellent
stabling facilities to keep their own horse. As well as training
rooms for jockeys, there is a 9,600 metre jumping paddock plus another
8.000 metre training paddock where there are riding lessons and
training available for beginners and seasoned riders. There are
also wide sand tracks and tiered seating for up to 2,000. A grandstand
is presently under construction for VIP seating.
As well as the horse riding, there is an athletics
ground with running track and gymnasium. Complimentary swimming
pools and lake are presently under construction and soon to be completed.
Knowing that horse riders are often dog lovers,
a special dog hotel is available, where you can leave your pets
while you enjoy the horseracing.
A beautiful residential hotel is also part of
the complex, for those who stay for a course or simply to enjoy
the surroundings. This is complimented by a souvenir shop and many
bars, cafeterias and restaurants, which offer excellent value for
money and are well placed to make the whole experience even more
enjoyable. There is plenty of free parking on site.
