Fundacion Helice

The “Fundación Hélice” has been constituted for the development of the Andalucia aerospace sector in order to carry out the following activities.

It is owned and reports to the Regional Governments (Junta de Andalucia) Ministry of Innovation, Science and Business ( Consejería de Innovación, Ciencia y Empresa).

The principal interest of the Helice Foundation (fundación Hélice) development of the Aerospace industry in Andalucia, especially in the area of research and development (i+D+I),

The foundation tries to encourage the participation of private sector companies and public companies, agencies and organisations in the development of aerospace projects especially those requiring national and international co-operation. .

With this aim in mind the foundation organises educational courses and seminars of interest to technical and financial management personnel from the Andalucian Aerospace Industry. It also helps auxiliary companies in the rigorous process of quality certification and becomes an Observatory for the Industry.

The foundation held its annual general meeting on the 8 th June 2006 and approved the “Plan de Actuación 2006” and the annual accounts for 2005.

Helice support highly subsidised courses such as “Curso de Gestión Empresarial Aeronautica” run by the EOI Business School in Seville.

The Foundation publishes a free issue magazine “Aeronautica Andaluza” with industry news, a wide range of interesting articles on Andaluz companies, Carbon fibre, guides to professional certification and the obligatory interview with the minister. The magazine is very well produced and has commercial look to it, the reader should not be fooled into thinking that there is only good news in the industry.
