Sierra Nevada - 2007

Sierra Nevada News in 2007

We have great news this 2007/2008 ski season on the Sierra Nevada slopes!

The company that runs the ski station, Cetursa, has invested a whopping 17.35 million euros to improve the facilities at Sierra Nevada this year. Most of the money was allocated to build a new cablecare for the Borreguiles area, and that will be able to handle 3,200 passengers per hour. With this new cablecare up and running it only takes seven minutes to travel between the main ski resort at Pradollano to Borreguiles. That nifty project cost more than 15 million euros.

The rest of the money was spent on new technology, new equipment for Fuente de Miró, special activities and attractions in the sledding area and remodelling the ski rental shop near the Al Ándalus cable car.

More improvements are on the way as this is just part of the 2006-2008 investment plan.
