Torremolinos is one of the Costa de Sol's most popular seaside resorts, with great cuisine, fabulous beaches and an enviable climate. Torremolinos is famous for its excellent nightlife, with a wide range of clubs offering everything from salsa to hip-hop and techno. Many clubs have swimming pools and outdoor terraces, and often host big-name singers over the summer season. This resort has something for every age and taste, and has a lively gay scene. It was the first to be developed along this coast, and you can still see original fish bars and fishermen's houses in La Carihuela and El Bajondillo.
Located just 7km from the Malaga city, Torremolinos has excellent transport connections. The town is well-served by trains covering the short distanceto the regional capital, which also go to Malaga international airport - a large number of airlines, including many budget ones, fly here from destinations all over Europe. But Malaga has recently established itself as much more than an arrival point for sunseekers. Home to the Picasso and Carmen Thyssen museums, it has an impressive cultural offering, with traditional art complemented by world-class contemporary works at CAAC, as well as Michelin-starred restaurant and innovative gourmet tapas.
Torremolinos is also a popular location for those looking for somewhere to spend their golden years, with reliable and professional care services for the elderly, as well as excellent hospitals in the surrounding area. So if you're thinking of relocating, Torremolinos has every stage and aspect of life for the global citizen covered.
