Convenio Especial

So it looks like the Convenio Especial is back on and according to this report it can be used to apply for residencia. It clearly states saying, ideal for people who have found it difficult to get private healthcare because of ongoing conditions. You need to prove you have lived here for a year whic...

Re: Padron definitive answer

An advantage of signing on is you can have a vote in the election to elect your mayor and council, after all you're paying for the services as well and should be entitled to have a say.

Re: Having a car to use in UK

It might be worth phoning a company like A Plan insurance who are brokers but very good and they can tailor your quote. I have a car in Spain for the very same reasons as you need a car here. I used a broker in Spain and ended up with Liberty insurance.

Re: Just bought a villa, now I need the internet

We ended our contract with Movistar and they still took money from our bank, after the contract had ended, not good customer service in my book.

Re: Fire Stick IPTV

Thanks, I've got the original fire stick but have a iptv which I was using on my mag box in Spain. I borrowed the box from a mate, so I heard good stuff about the quality of the 4k stuck and thought instead of getting a box I would go for the stick.

Fire Stick IPTV

Hi

I have my iptv currently on a mag box but was thinking of getting the 4k fire stick.. What I need to know will it be straight forward the supplier just sends the iptv to the new stick and I'm up and running. I'm afraid I'm not very tech savvy.

Thanks

Re: Health care in Spain

It now looks like you can get the healthcare even if you are early retired and you don't have to get private health insurance for residencies.

I could do either but I need to get it changed from Manilva town hall to Casares, which seems to be the complicated bit.

Re: Road Tax Payment

Thanks all, I'll speak to the guy that originally set it up, he might be able to enlighten me. The fact I'm not here when it is due could be a problem.

Road Tax Payment

I marticulated my car from the UK originally from Germany. I used a company to do all the paperwork, they paid the road tax for this year. The thing is they paid it to the area up the road and i want to pay it to my town hall for next year, although i will be in the UK when it is due. What is the pr...

I got my varifocals from glasses direct, no problems and better than my expensive Boots glasses.

We are up the hill in Casares village so different from the coast, very Spanish but only a reasonably short drive to the coast and all that goes with it.

I paid 117 today for diesel, just West of Estepona on A7 which I think is very good.

1bassleft we have a very similar routine to you, even the non-drinking and smoking bit these days. This year we did early May until late July then late August until Nov 8th. We normally deal with the cleaning on the last few days of our visit and then deal with the sand (nowhere near a beach) and du...

Re: ITV for import No Sticker

The same happened me with my car last month. I marticulated over an 8 year old car, I went with the mechanic who originally brought it to the ITV station in Estepona. He showed them the paperwork, I had to show my passport and they issued a sticker, there and then. oops, just seen this OP was Sept 1...

This government certainly seems to be a caring one, more so than the last lot. Who really needs to be worrying about healthcare in this day and age, let's hope it is as it says in the article.

Re: process and cost of updating an escritura

Ok, thanks Sid, I'll leave it. I think previously a nearby street was used until the council gave us our own street name, a bit of a strange one.

Re: process and cost of updating an escritura

Hi, rather than start a new thread i have a question on the same subject. Our council have now given our terrace a street name, which is not the same as what is on the escritura. Would we have to fork out to get this updated?

TIA
