Re: Android box connecting to "Hotel" wifi

I am pleased your VPN works first time with bbc iplayer. I chose nordvpn and have to keep trying maybe 4 or 5 times before I get something not geo blocked. Got fed up with that so just went for tvmucho straight onto bbc in hd

Re: Android box connecting to "Hotel" wifi

Thank you. Yes the laptop works fine, I don't think he's tried the phone yet. I suppose he could install the vpn on the laptop and then iPlayer etc would work. It's not a Smart tv so he's need an Hdmi cable but a bit messy. I have an idea that maybe because, at the moment, he has only paid for one ...

Re: Android box connecting to "Hotel" wifi

Does phone or laptop pick up the wifi? If so you can run the apps from there instead.

Tvmucho is really cheap and gets all uk freeview

Laptop preferable as can take hd lead to tv...as im sure Chromecast would not work given what you report.

Apologies in advance as im sure you tried this....

Re: Intelsat 907 / Satback Update - Major News!!!

Sounds really bad. How can you have a spot beam covering both Caribbean and Spain? I mean thats a whole Atlantic's worth....

By 901 "taking over 907 operations " do they just mean 907 left to float into outer space when its fuel depleted?

Re: Intelsat 907

Well sadly no bbc4 after cbeebies and actually no cbeebies viewable as it displays with a $ sign next to it.

I will do another channel scan tomorrow to see if any other version of cbeebies I missed.

Thanks for tips.

Re: Intelsat 907

BBC Four is on the Cbeebies channel on our box. It never is listed as BBCFour. When the daytime children's progs finish it goes over to that. Previously before I did a retune it was under CBBC channel. Do you have that? I had cbbc channel and it didn't switch to bbc4 at 8pm. After retune I will see...

Re: Intelsat 907

OK i plucked up courage to do full TP search and sadly both bbc4 and more 4+1 did not appear on tv channels. Maybe signal too weak for bbc4 in Catalonia.

Bizarrely both these channels got added as Radio Channels with $ signs so cant access.

Re: UK PAYG mobile providers

Wife's contract deal was 6.35 a month with Virgin and I only just cancelled it as we need Spanish number. Think it was 100 mins voice unlim text and 1 gig data.
Always found Virgin contracts to be as cheap as chips

Re: UK TV on Netflix

UK old bbc and itv shows are moving more and more to britbox.

I have cancelled netflix. However its got a great range if you like US drama (i dont) and some of its home grown uk progs such as black mirror is diverting.

Re: Lobster

Great. Yes thats what I thought..was just weird that when searched for network name manually it ended up connecting to what it called lobster. But looking at wife's phone now it says network movistar...only academic interest as the speed is phenomenal.
