Re: Malaga Christmas Lights

Thanks for the reminder.

This year we are going to stay one or two nights in a central hotel. We need one with an underground car park. Maybe NH hotel.

Re: Is there a simple answer for uk tv?

No copper or fibre here. Jetnet operate in three nearby large villages. I have twice asked them before for service. Both times no coverage - just. In the intervening years they may have improved their signal. So a possibility and we could ditch our landline which seems to only exist for “ I am calli...

Re: Is there a simple answer for uk tv?

I have been following this thread with interest. Our satellite internet was recently faulty for about five weeks. When we got it working again predictably the uk ip address was withdrawn. Worse the temporary free uplift to 30 gb a month was returned to 20 gb. We are back to downloading programmes du...

Re: Granada metro service

No replies, so here are my thoughts. We use Nevada shopping for Leroy Merlin. We figured that we could leave the car there to get to the centre around the cathedral with its shops , bars and restaurants plus the alleys with Arab markets ( bib rambla). It was quite a surprise to find the nearest stop...

Working fine here .

Have noticed that “ film 4 +1” which became “more 4” has vanished recently.

Re: Manuel Chaves - Guilty

My point exactly. It is all “ someone else’s money” when in reality it is our money. I wish that the EU had a policy of demanding misappropriated money back from the countries that allowed it to be frittered away.. That would focus a few minds all round. This leakage is happening all over the EU but...

Re: Manuel Chaves - Guilty

Nearly a billion euros of OUR money.

These spectacular thefts of OUR money always sound like it is someone elses money.

I saw the headlines but my thought is the sentences are not enough.

Did they recover any of our money?

Losing UK ip address and VPNs

All good things come to an end. My Satellite internet is faulty and I have spent time and money trying to fix my end. Today it appears I need a new modem. As a valued customer they only want carriage cost. Quite reasonable as I will still be able to leave at a months notice. The bad news , as expect...

Re: Roca toilet parts

Brilliant, thanks. The place nearVelez sounds perfect but too far out of our way. We will tryCosta’s Roca warehouse. If no luck then the Bricomart. Fall back plan is a new seat with soft close. Great suggestion. Last one we bought was for a Roca system too and included a poorly designed fitment to t...

How did you find out where your Amazon drop off point is please?

When I was last in the UK , I was very impressed with the locker set up at a local supermarket. Easy parking and open long hours .

Re: Roca toilet parts

Are you sure? It is quite a specific part to specific models for mounting the seat to the pan.

Ten years ago, we would have gone to the Roca distributor n Granada but they closed down around the time that Roca went through its financial difficulties.

Roca toilet parts

I shall be in Malaga on Monday and urgently need two “rawlpugs” for the pan. It is a Roca Giralda. The rawplugs are the plastic fitments into the pan that the toilet seat bolts to. I won’t have a lot of time to go from place to place. What is the best place please to ensure a reasonable chance of su...

Re: Seur and Amazon

We couldn't make it any easier. Unofficial official drop off point of petrol station. Only one for twenty km in any direction and it is on a main road. I think the issue is Amazon raising expectations of a three day expedited delivery (not Prime next day). In reality something coming from anywhere i...

Repsol bombona delivery

Collect your own exchange. 13 euros local shop for old heavy orange bombona. 16 .75 for new lightweight orange and blue with slightly less gas. How much do folk pay for delivered to your premises gas. Is it the old style? Only delivered if you have a contract ? How do you pay? Is it billed as and wh...

Seur and Amazon

You couldn't make it up. I needed a wf100 spec cable . Failed to find anyone locally who could make me one. So searched Amazon. £10 from Uk or 21 euro from Amazon.es. Chose the latter and paid for expedited delivery ( not next day) Ordered Wednesday and delivery guaranteed Friday for one euro extra....

Re: Hire car had a puncture

Interesting scenario. I recently had yet another puncture. None repairable area of tyre plus it was an oblique entry. They couldn't get a matching Pirelli tyre without me hanging around till the evening. I could have had a Michelin but the fitter said when is your next ITV? It wont pass with a Miche...
