Re: Photo booths

Going back to hillybillys original question.
Rather than looking for a photo booth, call in at Foto Gracia in Estepa. (Calle Nueva 6) I got mine done there this morning. 6 photos for €3.50 It took all of 10 minutes.

Re: English-speaking church - Sevilla

The English vicar mentioned by janda above is in Aguadulce Sevilla province, not the Almeria one. I would estimate it's a 40-45 min drive from Sevilla city. I am no "church goer" But I did meet him when he conducted a funeral service for a friend of mine. I gathered from speaking to him la...

Re: Finca wanted to buy

Living by a river (even a dry one) in that area is great until it pays a visit under the back door. I remember the tv pics last winter of people being rescued from their roof after the authorities decided to let "a bit" of water out of the reservoirs.

Re: Water dog wanted

We adopted a 3-4 yr old Spanish water dog last year and have to say he's a joy to own. Despite his previous misstreated life I have never known such a friendly obedient dog.

Although he may have a small identity problem as he hates getting wet. :D

Re: Now we are old fogeys

Whilst parked in a motorway service area in northern Spain I once saw a coach driver dishing out "lunch" to his passengers on one of these cheap and cheerful trips to the Costa Brava. It consisted of ................................... A pot noodle and a panda pop :lolno:

Re: UK national dies in Spain - registering the death

My own personal experience in sorting out the death of a UK national in Spain was that the guy from the Spanish funeral directors asked for the deceased persons passport, in order to send it to the British consul in Madrid and report the death to the British authorities. To register the death in Spa...

Re: portable air con units

Be aware that most of these portable machines need to vent to the outside. We bought one a couple of years ago that is absolutely useless. It wasn't until we got it home and unpacked it, that we realised they come with a plastic flexible pipe that has to be fitted to the rear of the unit to direct t...

Re: car break down

Just to add. I thought garages/dealers in Spain had to give you at least 1 years warranty by law on any used car, no matter how old it is. Tell them you want a full years warranty.

Re: restaurant on the square, fuente de piedra

I drove through Fuente de piedra a few weeks ago and the whole square was in the process of being dug up, so even if the said restaurant is open it would not be pleasant sitting amongst the rubble and muck at the moment.
