Praise for good customer service.

Normally we only get posts for bad customer service but just had very good customer service, in my opinion, from Eroski.
I bought a hammer drill from them last May. The switch to switch between normal drilling and hammer drilling would not operate. I had a two-year guarantee so I took it back on Wednesday.
They said they would phone me after the technician had looked at it.
I expected it to be sent back to the manufacturer for repair.
I got a phone call yesterday to go to Eroski for a full refund.
I went there today. Normally refunds are given back in the way the item was bought.
I bought it on my credit card which was out of date last October so had a new one with a different number.
I said it was a new card and was given an immediate refund to my new credit card. :thumbup:

Well done Eroski, about time they got their act together. Carrefour are a nightmare if you try and get a refund.

I believe it does help to have a good-mannered approach and not go in demanding immediate action and satisfaction.

Perhaps different stores are different, ive returned things in carrefour los patios, and carrefour coin, as well as to carrefour online .. All without incident and imediate refunds?

The shop is responsible for 2 years but on most products they have the usual 1 year's manufacture's guarantee to fall back on .On that basis I think many retailers are coming to the conclusion it's easier to just to send faulty goods back to the manufacturers and not argue with the customer

The manufacture's guarantee is extra and does not allow the shop to opt out of their legal responsibility. They are libel for 2 years and cannot use the guarantee to get out of it.
