postings?

Postby lacultura » Wed Jul 13, 2011 10:24 am

Hi!
I am new to this. I tried to post something in a forum (culture) and it seems to have worked. I even got a comment. And commented on that. But now it all seems to be gone... is it me, or did it disappear?

Hi ,
Guess it was classed as an Advertisement and they are a no no.
Maybe you could tell us about it in different way , especially as it was your first post.

Unsolicited adverts for any commercial products, services or Internet websites are not allowed. That can include adverts for cultural events where any payment is involved.

Specific personal recommendations in response to requests are acceptable if we consider them to be genuine.

This is why the posts were deleted.

I hope this clarifies the situation.

OK- thanx. It seems to be a tight line though, I mean much of what I see in regards to cultural events seems to be somewhat 'advertisments'. But I'll keep that in mind. Sorry, and thank you again.
(laCultura is a non-profit organisation btw)

You might think that the rules here are very strict on advertising, perhaps over strict but I can see the sense in it.
I subscribed to another list which wasn't moderated, the advertising etc.took over and destroyed the useful list.
Have a look at http://groups.google.com/group/rec.arts ... cs?lnk=srg to see what I am talking about.
Cheers
