I'm very glad we are at the top of a hill, the road is like a river and the town will be a swimming pool by now

Jool, maybe you should invite these guys to visit and see for themselves, they could look at the 3 houses at the same time! If they ever did you can rest assured they wouldn't have the b**ls to repeat to your face the rubbish they spout out here!

I saw a total of 3 spots of rain and that was it :( Back to the hose and irrigation.

Yes Jool, wish they would leave you alone, it is boring trawling through that drivel.

I'm lovin' it!
I can sleep because its cooler. Last year and in July this year I had huge problems trying to sleep through the heat. I ended up going to the pharmacy for some sleeping tablets.
They worked fine but I prefer a "normal" nights sleep.

I went for a hike up El Higueron on sunday and there were huge amounts of water flowing through. It was a bit hairy at times but really spectacular.
However I would''nt like to be caught in that barranco if there is a sudden downpour further up the in the mountains. I'd say even the Rio Chillar could get a bit dangerous if there is heavy rain on the Sierra Almijara. That Rio is usually full of people at this time of the year.
putting the "ANDA" into Andalucía..:)

A short downpour here but all calm now.

Wow Karen, half an hour from Sevilla to Matalacañas is very, very quick!

We have had no rain here in our little bit of Almeria, but it was blowing a gale and cold early hours of this morning I had to shut the windows, still cool, but still no sign of rain :)

Local lore here says that after 15th August it gets cooler at night. Every year, so far, it is totally accurate. Yesterday we had a tremendous sudden wind that blew for an hour or more followed by the clouds rolling in and a huge thunderstorm with sheets of lightening and rain. Much cooler night. Today more rain and cooler. Feels great to me!

It seems that they had some truly phenomenal weather in Cordoba - 3 months rain in 3 hours.

I live about 12k west of Sevilla, last night between 6pm and 8pm torrential rain, hailstones almost the size of marbles, thunder, lightening and winds the rattle the around all that time. This morning much cooler and calm again.
