Re: Why some Spanish Bank Accounts are being blocked
I’m with Unicaja and they’ve just unilaterally introduced 2 factor authorisation so to even see my balance I have to enter a code texted to my mobile. Of course they didn’t give any reasonable warning so here I am unable to see any and all transactions. They do have a mobile number because I use it for authorising bank transfers, but for some reason they won’t use it.
You couldn’t make it up!

Re: Why some Spanish Bank Accounts are being blocked
We are with bankia & we received a letter at our home address in the Uk from them asking us to update our details which we did in the bank in Granada.I know this has to be the case every 2 years which is a pain but if that's what we have to do then so be it..Yes there is now a a 2 factor authorisation code to access our account online but it's not much different to the Uk, when making transactions or even buying anything on line.

Re: Why some Spanish Bank Accounts are being blocked
I cannot get into my account because the phone number they have begins with 0 instead of *44 so the code bit doesn't work. Will need to go in and fix it when I return in April
Re: Why some Spanish Bank Accounts are being blocked
No problem with Unicaja once we went in and gave the mobile number. I can log in as normal now and don't receive a text or anything to just look at the account.

Re: Why some Spanish Bank Accounts are being blocked
Does the number start with 0044?
If so it can be dialed the same as dialing *44
Cheers

I'm with deutsche bank and have been for 4 years now, I have a 9 digit entry code and a 4 digit password, I can see all my monthly transactions using this facility only for viewing my accounts, if I need to pay bills or transfer money I have a plastic credit card style card with numbers which cross reference with my other code numbers, simple and efficient !

I´ve had the same sort of card with cajasur for 10 years or so. they took it away this year - now i use my 6 digit pin each time to make a transfer etc.
