Depending on the age of the boiler it may be more efficient to buy a new one. I wouldn’t waste money on an old boiler.

If by boiler you mean the usual fixed on the wall gas water heater, then any certified gas plumber should be able to sort it out.
@ costakid. Our ancient (at least 15yrs old) Junkers water heater started playing up last year, we contacted our plumber and asked him to replace it for a newer model. He explained that most new ones are now fitted with plastic innards and are not as good as our old one. He took it to his workshop, gave it a good clean out, refitted it and it's now working better than ever. Total charge 25 euros.

its a junkers hydrastat dont know the age as it was here when we came .
