We are just about to start renovating our 4 bed villa in Estepona and are struggling to know what best for heating the water for bathrooms. We don’t want individual water heaters in each room so looking at a solar system and then a boiler to top it up when the sun isn’t enough. There will frequently be 10 people at the villa with 3 bathrooms needing baths and showers simultaneously, our builder thinks a 200lt tank is big enough. Any thoughts on this or advice? We aren’t on mains gas so that’s not an option and currently have very unreliable bottle gas waters heaters dotted around the house but the water heat fluctuates too much when showering. Any advice great received.
Thanks

Re: Water heating
We have a oil fueled boiler that serves our hot water requirements (similar to yours). Its very efficient and pressure is maintained using a separate electronic pressure pump that enables you to dial up the required pressure. We use 600 litres of oil every 18 months that costs about €500. We've had this boiler for 12 years and just get it serviced each year.
Re: Water heating
Great thanks, something I’ll have a look at, this may sound a stupid question but where do you store the oil? Is there an under ground tank?
Re: Water heating
We have a 800 litre plastic fuel deposit that we have in a separate storage area indoors. A lot have them outside in metal tanks.
