Done that with Avast, all clear. Tried a couple of other forums, top-forums.com, Britishexpats, nothing pops up, nor does it wit any other website, e.g daily mail, Facebook etc. Only A.com so far.

Strange indeed. Bit above my pay grade, but I can't see anything in the page source code that would indicate overlay ads should appear, but perhaps the mods can pass this on to site admin to see if they have any ideas.
