Funny how your tastes change with age.
I have long been a fan of Pedro Jimenez. In more recent years I have appreciated Vermouth. A product perfected in the sherry triangle with appropriate prices. Lustau is a favourite. Back home, I find Mercadona’s Vermouth Reserva very palatable especially with a twist of fresh orange peel. Very good value at only 2.70 for a litre.
Anyone else a fan?

Re: Vermouth
It's a bit of a "Marmite" drink. Personally, I have never liked Vermougth in any of its incarnations. It's too herby for me, but it's great for cooking. On the other hand, Pedro Jimenez is still one of my favourites.

Re: Vermouth
A while ago when we were in Malaga and were in our favourite 'sherry bar' I had a glass of the local vermouth and was impressed. Served in a large glass with ice and lemon, it was very pleasant. I've since had a bottle of Mercadona's vermouth on the go. I also like it with tonic or the cloudy type of lemonade as a long drink.

I like Cinzano but hard to get now. Gone unfashionable

Re: Vermouth
Although not strictly a vermouth, I find Malaga Virgen dulce very appealing with a chupito of vodka, slice of lemon and a splash of sprite, they do a very acceptable version in El Pimpi, a very nice aperitif before a hearty meal! sometimes I have two but I've always been greedy!
