Travel to and from Andalucia


Travel within Andalucia and Spain  is only permitted for work purposes and others special reasons in the list above. Leisure of holiday travel is not permitted except to and from the Airport. 

Rumours that Spanish air space is being closed are untrue, however air travel is included in the decree limiting flights to 50% from 17 March. Airlines are having to reschedule and advise passengers with booking of their options.  

RENFE the train operator are cancelling all tickets issued from Wednesday 18-03-2020 to the end of the state of alarm crisis. New schedules are published with only 50% of trains limited to 30% seating capacity.  No buffet car nor refreshment trolly services. 

The Moroccan government has order the suspension of all passenger ferry from Andalucia to Morocco and all flights from Spain from 13-03-2020. this has been put into effect immediately between Algeciras and Tarifa to Tánger town and Tánger Med.  (Ferry to Ceuta and Mellila continue but the Moroccan border is closed except for openings to allow tourist to cross back into Spain).  Flights between Spain and Italy were suspended on 11-03-2020. 

Bus transport in Andalucia and locally is now being limited to 50% of schedules and now the front three rows must be kept free for the protection of the driver.
