Brenda has a degree in Spanish from Western Washington University and has studied at the Universities of Alicante and Seville and has an ESL teaching certification from Seattle University. She has many years experience as both a teacher and journalist. She has lived in Andalucia since 1997, and contributed to and worked with a variety of media in southern Spain, including monthly magazines, radio and newspapers. She has also translated a book about Andalusian natural parks published for the Spanish Tourist Board.

Brenda came to Spain with her Spanish husband. After two years in Vitoria, in the Basque Country, they chose to settle in Andalucia. Excellent climate combined with a cosmopolitan, international environment have convinced them to stay in this area. Brenda worked at Onda Cero International Radio  having her own morning show for seven years until the stations closure in 2007. Today Brenda teaches management and English public speaking courses especially directed to Spanish business professionals seaking contract abroad.
