Santander nerja

Done this trip many times going round Madrid on the east via the m50 and then down south on a4. However I’ve got two new sat navs. One suggest east, passing Avila, the other suggests through the centre on the M30.This will a no stopping trip and getting to Madrid at 11am ish.

Any thoughts?

Hi ashtondav,

I always use the M-50................ M-30 would not be recommended only done it once that was enough.

Its 30 mins from A-1 to R-4 round Madrid.

Thanks. Mirrors my view but which way round west or east. Bilbao definitely east past Burgos and down past aranda del duero , but Santander? Poss west round Madrid passing Avila?

Santander Burgos Madrid all motorway, go round Eastside M-50 is my preferred route

Ive done all routes and would always advise Santander, Torrelavega, and towards Valladolid and then onto Madrid. Much easier drive traffic wise and only a couple of small tolls.
