Parque de las Ciencias Granada

Took a UK friend to the Science’s Park in Granada. It is our fourth visit but first since Covid. Quite a few of the hands on exhibits have gone and the tower wasn’t open ( might have been because the European leaders were meeting nearby).

Notwithstanding it is a good day out for youngsters and adults alike. 11 euros adult entry with 2 euros reduction for OAP . Parking on site but if you don’t mind a few minutes walk there is on street free parking nearby. Easy to get to from the inner motorway ring road. Also on site snacks, drinks or hot meals.

Quite a few highlights for me. Foucault’s pendulum. Stuffed animal display using a unique technique ( you canask questions of the taxidermist. The mind machine where you move a ball against an opponent by using brain waves. The Biodome. This is quite new and features tropical fish and animals.

Tucked away in a corner behind the butterfly house, is the raptor display. Several times a day , some of the birds ( mostly rescue birds) are flown. In between the keepers will give enthusiastic and informative info and brings a bird over. We had to go so missed the huge Golden Eagle ( from the Steppes) fly.

Oh and if you can play a piano, you can entertain folk in one of the atriums!
