Spare a thought for the asparagus pickers plothering around in the mud this week. They use a special pair of overboots but even so it is a horrid job.

yes a lot of campo work is hard ...

olive ... you remind me that the wild asparagus grows well after rain ... must go look for some ... but it's cold outside ... few days ago 27 on patio ...now lucky if we reach 10.

Hi,

Snow on the "hill" just up from us ...................... not doing the Cherry Blossom any favours.
All my best learning experiences start with a problem I need to solve.

Raining here like the end of the world has come. Wall-to-wall rain for the next five days. The lane will be flooded and hideous. Easter will be washed out. The farmers will be even more stressed about the ground being too wet to plant. Global warming? Right!

I can see from the radar that you're getting the bulk of the rain in Extremadura. We've had little here today although it's been very windy. Mainly sunny today but chilly.

Biblical rain yesterday and danger of the fords flooding the lane. Not complaining but the reservoirs are nearly full and some sunshine would be nice.

It’s been much the same all along the coast with a bit more inland. Competa had about 70mm. There could be the same amount again tomorrow if we are lucky. Warm and sunny again after that.

We’ve had 80mm and more to come.

Olive, you seem to be in the only dry place in Andalucia! Plenty of rain the other side of Granada. There should be plenty of new snow on the ski slopes. Avalanches next!

16 litros here. I empty the gauge at breakfast time. Local town was unusually only 15 . Both the town and the nearest village consistently et more rainfall due to their geography.

One delight is the rio Genil is raging and we can see a part of the lake returned.
