We have a continuing problem with our dog. In the last five months he has been to an endless and expensive list of vets in Bilbao area, France, Leicester and Filey.
The problem is , undiagnosed by our local Loja vets , grass seed in ear. It has been there for at least 12 months and has become infected. 7 weeks of various antibiotics and treatments hasnt cured the problem. I wont go into the detail but he is now on yet another course of different antibiotics and not well. We will be back home ( by next week) and be looking for a new vet. We will not be using any at Loja.
Can anyone recommend a proper practice - one where there are vets ( plural) with experience ? Ideally Granada or Antequera or possibly Malaga. A friend suggested Trying the Granada animal hospital?

Olive,
Have you tried the vets in Huetor Tajar ?
We use them for our pack and have had no problems, really helpful staff.
Have a safe journey back and you've been away so long I won't recognise you !
Regards,
Gordon.
Beachcomber ....No problem ..

Gordon how old are they? Straight out of vets college? Helpful doesn't cut the mustard. We need knowledgeable vets. Helpful vets line their pockets. We have spent a fortune and the dog is no better and suffering.
The “farm” vet at Ventorros misdiagnosed the dog. Our own former vet Victoria did also. They all kept ruling things out instead of looking in his ear.

Probably no use due to location but recommend 100% the Vet we used for 14 years in Spain. A small place, his name is Hector, lovely man. Treat all our many pets. Excellent English, his wife is English and us often on reception.

I have found that most vets work alone! But should you want a reasonably good vet in Antequera ("reasonably good" because we haven't really tested him thoroughly yet!) we use Paco aka Leon. Haven't got an address but he's in the road at the side of Lidl and if you want his phone numbers, pm me.
He used to do weekend locum work in London so his English is excellent.

I have used the Granada Hospital. A very impressive setup with about 12 specialist vets. One of our cats needed a CT scan and biopsy. It was all done within about 5 hours. Very detailed reports etc. Our vet in Almuñécar was also there at the time.

Our vet practice in Almuñécar is excellent. Three qualified English speaking vets - I would thoroughly recommend them.

Hi,
We have used the Granada Hospital for Diagnose and our local Vet ( her husband works at the Granada site) carried out the operation.

Have had a chat with Granada vet hospital. Got an appointment and advice?
Fingers crossed for a good outcome.
