I understand that visitors (from UK)to Spain may have to show proof of carrying €98 per day for their visit.
( eg: someone on a weeks trip must show that they have €686).
Can't imagine "Border" staff having the time to police this.
Has anyone from the Forum been asked for this proof?

Re: Proof of funds
It is actually the law, but just ignore it. They never ask for this information. It is often reported in the UK press when they run out of stories. It’s the same with having to show evidence of where you are going to be staying.
If you looked like an illegal immigrant with no luggage it might be different.

Never been asked, either.
There's also a current story that anyone entering the EU countries as a tourist will have to have their fingerprints taken and their ID checked. Thank goodness for my TIE.

Re: Proof of funds
This has always been law not just since Brexit. The UK press bring this up about 3 times a year, normally as people are booking summer holidays. No one ever gets asked. NON STORY
