The Spanish version also has a lot of UK content which in the UK is on the BBC, ITV and C4 but not available on Netflix UK. Series are often in HD on ITV but in UHD on Netflix. Depending on which router I am using, I switch between the USA and the Spanish version and the main difference is films. Netflix's own content tends to be the same in all regions.We might be missing out on some content that Spanish TV has the rights to but as most non-natives don't watch them anyway, we are not not aware.

While there is a lot of mediocre stuff, there are also some really good stuff as well and recently there has been some interesting films and programmes. For example, in my opinion, Ripley is worth watching.
