Open air concerts on the Golden Mile |

Marbella is famous throughout the world for its glitzy image and glamorous night life. The most exclusive and classy venues are located in Puerto Banus and on the Golden Mile, which is also home to many super -rich celebrities and members of the Saudi royal family. Visitors who come to this stylish resort come to party, and there is no shortage of late night bars, clubs and restaurants to keep them entertained.
Discos and Clubs
Olivia Valere
It's worth staying up late for this night club disco which is located on the Istan road near the Marbella Mosque. Housed in a purpose built Moorish/Andaluz style structure with a vast dance floor, several bars and an outdoor terrace for al fresco cocktails. Be careful not to choke when you see the bill – this is not a club for the financially challenged. Seriously swanky venue which always delivers a euphoric punch. Excellent for celebrity spotting and a club for the seriously cool. The open air Babylonia Palace restaurant which is situated beside the disco, is a luxurious and opulent venue. Built and designed to recreate the patio of an Arab Palace, this fine dining restaurant seats 350 people, and is illuminated by hundreds of candles. Suite
Suite is situated in the Puente Romano Hotel, and is open during the winter and spring. Boasting a fabulous fusion restaurant and decorated to resemble a Middle-Eastern souk, this is one of Marbella´s top nightspots. Friendly and efficient service, and top DJ´s at the decks attract the IT crowd from all over Marbella. Suite caters to all age groups and plays varied music throughout the evening. Popular with the Baywatch babe lookalikes and some seriously cool dudes who accompany them. Excellent service, chill out and dance music. Not cheap but worth it. The Loft
Situated on the famous Golden Mile between Marbella and Puerto Banus, the Loft Club is a mecca for lovers of R&B, funky house and chill out sounds. Also hosting regular salsa nights and live bands during the summer, Loft is open every night until very late. Drinks are quite expensive, but this is the Golden Mile. Tel: 95 286 6375.
Nikki Beach
Hotel Don Carlos, Marbella. Always a favourite. Open only during the summer months, internationally known DJ's spin the tunes at this, one of Marbella's most exclusive clubs. If the legs start to weaken about 04.30 they'll change DJ's and 'bring on the late night hard man'. His beat keeps even the faint hearted dancing till dawn. Situated on the beachside, Nikki Beach is a fabulous night club in one of Marbella´s most famous locations. Classy decor in a semi open-air environment with fabulous tropical gardens and stylish decor, attracting the seriously cool crowd. Elegant and fairly expensive. Icon
Located on Marbella´s prestigious Golden Mile, Icon is one the most exclusive club/lounges in the area. Icon opens at 6pm and at midnight it is transformed into a stunning club. The food is a fusion of Japanese and Latin, and Icon offers one of the most innovative menus in Marbella. The beautiful outdoor terraces are perfect for relaxing and enjoying some of Icon´s famous cocktails. Decoration is based on the icons of the ages, inspired by the 60´s. Scream Disco - (Puerto Banus)
Situated in the heart of Puerto Banus, this club is a must for lovers of loud music. As the name suggests it is a lively and often raucous venue, and Scream attracts a predominantly young crowd. Dance music booms out until the early hours of the morning, and many guest DJs take to the decks during the summer time. Tel: 95 277 6478.
Dreamers Disco (Puerto Banus)
Widely regarded as the best club in Puerto Banus, Dreamer´s Disco is a fantastic venue to dance the night away. Located ta few minutes from the port on the other side of the coast road and close to the Alzhambra Apartments, this is the ultimate in stylish and modern décor, and rooms include a chill out area, several dance floors and a funky bar serving a fabulous range of cocktails. Leather sofas and beautiful lighting add to the slick feel of this club, and it´s a great place to party with friends.Top international DJ´s take to the decks at Dreamer´s, including Carl Cox, Bob Sinclair and Harry Romero, and play some of the best Dance tracks around. La Comedia (Puerto Banus)
Puerto Banús's most popular club, La Comedia is a great place to drink, dance and have a rocking good time to the latest hits until well into the next morning. Situated in Plaza la Comedia, This is one of Puerto Banus´s oldest clubs, and is one of the last to close. A real late night club, La Comedia still has people piling in at 4am. Open from 11pm-6am.
Pangea (Puerto Banus)
Pangea is the place to see and be seen in Puerto Banus. Enjoying an unbeatable location at the swanky end of Puerto Banus where the big boats are, Pangea is one of the most luxurious clubs in the port. Boasting the ultimate in luxurious decor, Pangea is a stylish South Beach-meets-the-souk nightclub with a sultry al fresco terrace. The main gathering point is the Moroccan-style lounge area adjacent to a raised-level dance floor that gets crowded later on. On the streets outside valets park Porsches and Ferraris, and many visiting celebrities grace this fabulous venue. Disco TIBV Club (Puerto Banus)
Disco TIBV, Puerto Banus is situated at the Plaza Antonio Banderas, in front of El Corté Ingles. If you like house music, then there is no better club in Puerto Banus that TIBV. Big beds on the terrace of TIBV add to the luxury and opulence of this incredible club. Open until very late. Locally known as TIBU, this is one of the larger clubs in Puerto Banus and attracts clubbers from all over the Costa del Sol. Tel¨: 952929659.
The Edge (Puerto Banus)
The-edge.tv is one of Puerto Banus´s best new late night venues. Boasting live music and singers plus a cool resident DJ, The-edge.tv provides a unique entertainment experience. Introducing the new biz bar concept, with everything under one roof, the-edge.tv comprises of a terrace, a stylish lounge, a swish cocktail bar and an amazing nightclub. Situated in C/Ribera, Puerto Banus this new kid on the block promises to give the best clubs in Puerto Banus a run for their money, and encourage the more stylish crowd back to the port.
Disco Inferno (Puerto Banus)
Disco Inferno is a fabulous club situated in New Town, Puerto Banus. Famous for its nostalgic 70´s and 80´s sounds, Disco Inferno is a fabulous venue for a night out, hen parties, birthdays or private events. Open every night, Disco Inferno boasts a flashing dance floor, disco balls and a fantastic party atmosphere. This is a throwback to the discos of old with some modern, stylish decor thrown in and a fabulous sound system. Resident DJ´s take to the decks and keep clubbers dancing until dawn. Glam (Puerto Banus)
Situated in the Grey D´Albion building close to the entrance of Puerto Banus, Glam is a stylish venue in a great location. Late and lively, Glam usually gets busy after 1am, and is open until 7am. Boasting a superb sound system and great lighting, Glam attracts a big celebrity crowd – especially during the summer. Glam consists of 5 bars and 5 VIP areas where some of the top stars of TV and the world of sport have been spotted. England footballer, Ashley Cole spent his stag night at Glam. Top DJ´s also perform in the summer, and this is one of the busiest clubs in Puerto Banus.
Seven (Puerto Banus)
Seven is situated on the second line, Puerto Banus, and has evolved into one of the port´s most exclusive and elegant clubs. Boasting stylish Indian decor on the first floor, and a fabulous VIP Area and new indoor terrace for up to 100 people, this is a real gem of a club. With friendly bar staff, great music and the famous Seven go-go dancers, this is one of Puerto Banus´s busiest night clubs. Open from 9pm every night with guest DJ´s and superb sounds. Icon
Located on Marbella´s prestigious Golden Mile, Icon is one the most exclusive club/lounges in the area. Doors to the lounge open at 6pm and at midnight it is transformed into a stunning club.
The food is a fusion of Japanese and Latin styles, all made under the expert supervision of renowned chef Elquin Rangel. The beautiful terraces outside are great for relaxing with some of Icon´s famous cocktails and also host some great events.Decoration is based on the icons of the ages, inspired by the 60´s, and with some incredible lighting that allows the mood of the entire place to change throughout the night.
Vanito (Formerly La Notte Piano Bar)
Epitomises Marbella's chic elegant image. The terrace has magnificent views with manicured mature gardens. The cocktail list is long with music designed to get your toes tappin'. Next door to La Meridiana Restaurant. Camino de la Cruz.
Music Bars
The Library Bar
A warm and friendly American style music video and cocktail bar with over 250 different types of liquor. Plus they infuse their own flavours into vodka and gin, and have created several signature drinks. With over 5,500 music videos to choose from, you will be able to see and hear your favourite music all evening.
El Cubanito (Puerto Banus)
Featuring an unusual thatched roof, this disco pub has an outdoor dance floor and booming Cuban music. Particularly popular with salsa lovers, El Cubanito is the perfect place to shake your stuff on the dance floor until the early hours of the morning. Situated on the second line back from the Marina, El Cubanito is one of the largest and liveliest clubs in Puerto Banus.
The Tipsy Turtle (Puerto Banus)
A 'rock and roll' type of venue with live music night between midnight and 2am. The Tipsy Turtle is unique in the type of music it is famous for, and is one of the only rock and roll clubs in the Marbella area. Vibrant and lively, this place knocks spots of many of its neighbours, and offers a fabulous fun-filled atmosphere. Very popular with holiday makers and locals. Casual and easy going, this is a great place to celebrate a birthday or special occasion.
Devils (Puerto Banus)
Devil´s Bar has been at the hub of Puerto Banus´s nightlife for the past ten years, and is one of the few late night venues where customers choose the music. Devils is a down to earth, no frills bar and has become famous over the years for its devilish party nights and special events. Not as glamorous as many of Puerto Banus´s night venues, but just as much fun.
Portside (Puerto Banus)
Situated on the front line, Portside New Town Puerto Banus, start your day on the front terrace enjoying the view of this beautiful harbour. Portside offers a large selection of fine wines, ice cold beers, cocktails and a unique atmosphere. The resident cocktail waiter makes some of the best cocktails you will ever taste. Light snacks available throughout the day. Portside New Town Puerto Banus is a unique bar which boasts a back terrace opposite the world famous Linekers bar, and is the ideal place for celebrity spotting. Lulu Cocktail Lounge
Lulu´s is famous for serving some of the best cocktails in Marbella, and this stylish lounge attracts a trendy crowd from Marbella and Puerto Banus. Situated in C/Coleseum, Marbella, and offering modern, slick decor and a friendly atmosphere, Lulu´s is one of the new hotspots in town. Linekers (Puerto Banus)
Situated on the second line New Town Puerto Banus, Linekers is one of the most famous bars in the port. Enjoy the unique atmosphere of the largest bar in Puerto Banus, where every night live sports from around the world are broadcast on huge plasma screens. Hen and stag parties are one of Lineker´s specialities and there is also a fabulous VIP area available for hire. Celebrities from around the world flock to Linekers to enjoy the latest music from resident DJ´s, and to soak up the party atmosphere. Havana Bar
The Havana Bar is one of the most famous bars in Marbella centre. Boasting large leather settees, subtle lighting, and unobtrusive music, Havana Bar is the perfect place to relax and watch the world go by. Havana is a fashionable and laid back bar with occasional live latin music and a great terrace area. Situated on C/Pablo Casals, No.17, this city centre location is one of the best in Marbella. The Champagne Room
Elegant late-night drink and dance venue, stylishly decorated to resemble the original Champagne Room of the 1960s. Well-heeled, sophisticated atmosphere and situated within the Hotel Marbella Club. This chic lounge is both stylish and opulent, and attracts some of Marbella´s top socialites. Subtle tunes are played early on, and some great dance music later on in the evening. The Buddha del Sol
The Buddha del Sol bar is situated in one of the most beautiful parts of Marbella, on the Avenida del Mar where the Dalli statues are. You can’t miss it because the Buddha del Sol bar puts out tables in the street with incense burning. You can eat at Buddha Bar but this stylish venue is more famous for its cool cocktail list that its food. Close to the sea, this is a classy venue for after or pre-dinner drinks, and you can also enjoy a smoke of the hookah pipe if it takes your fancy. Chilled out, relaxed and informal in a great central location. Open from 5pm-3am during winter and 7pm-4/5am during the summer. Music is Latino plus 60´s, 70´s and 80´s, and live performances including belly dancers perform at the weekends.
The News Café (Puerto Banus)
The News Café, is one of the trendiest bars in Puerto Banus with a young staff and a great lounge and club area upstairs. The drinks are expensive but the club is classy. You can book your own table with champagne and dance the night away with great views over the boats on the port. Not the largest venue, but certainly one of the liveliest. Situated on the front line of Puerto Banus, and popular with the locals, The News Café opens from 9am to 2am, and the location is unbeatable. This chic upstairs club fills up after midnight and keeps everyone on the dance floor until the small hours of the morning. Popular with the in crowd. Tel: 95 281 2464.
Old Joy´s (Puerto Banus)
Old Joy´s is one of the longest established and popular pubs in Puerto Banus. Plush velvet decor, live piano music and singers have been attracting crowds of revellers to this venue for years. A slightly older crowd favour Old Joy´s, and the music is nostalgic 70´s and 80´s. Offering a welcoming service and a fabulous fun-filled atmosphere, Old Joys is one of Puerto Banus´s most famous night spots. Also boasting a relaxed terrace with great views of the boats. The Liquid Lounge (Puerto Banus)
The Liquid Lounge is a smart and very stylish venue where you can enjoy coffees and light snacks, lunch and dinner and fabulous cocktails. The Liquid Lounge is situated in Marina Banus, just behind the cinema, and is run professionally by an efficient and friendly team. The menu is innovative and offers delicious food and the freshest ingredients. The Liquid Lounge is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. Open 12 noon-2am. Frank's Corner
No longer open and now a games hall. Famous in Marbella for thirty years for lovers of rock music with stunning collection of memorabilia and tree growing through the roof. Calle Camilo Jose Cela.
Sinatra Bar (Puerto Banus)
Small, very popular bar at entrance to the port with pulsating music and groovy crowd.
Salduba Pub (Puerto Banus)
Right next to Sinatra's, attracts the overspill and more laid-back with plenty of tables to sip a drink and people watch.
O'Grady's (Puerto Banus)
Bustling Irish bar popular with young locals and tourists, many of whom are (not surprisingly) from Ireland. Resident DJ but not too much room to dance. An outdoor bar is useful for quick service.
The Mambo Club (Puerto Banus)
The Mambo is one of Banús's larger venues, meaning there's ample opportunity to join in the fun and embarrass yourself dancing salsa.
Tridente Bar (Puerto Banus)
Small and minimalist, the Tridente Bar offers inexpensive drinks and good service.
