Other than El Nido in Alhurin are there and other places in Andalucía where you can adopt birds?

I prefer to adopt a rescue rather than go to a pet shop. I have messaged a few rescues in the area but they only do cats and dogs. In the UK they are always looking for adopters, but here it seems not.

The new animal in force now bans keeping certain birds: "parrots, lovebirds, parakeets, parakeets and foreign species". If you already own one I think you have to register the fact at your local town hall. Birds and a number of (seemingly innocent) pets, like rabbits and guinea pigs are also banned and pet shops are not allowed to sell them I believe.
