Sevilla by bike

Postby hillybilly » Thu Jul 16, 2009 10:09 am

I've been having to do a lot of travelling to and fro across Sevilla city recently (due to Sanitas deciding to locate their clinics randomly, miles apart, both sides of the river  ). It's always a nightmare driving and parking there and I always seem to get stuck in one way systems going the "wrong" way and I must have walked miles of the city's pavements in 40deg.
So, cunning plan, yesterday I chucked the pushbike in the back of the van, parked up for free on Avenida de la Palmera and cycled everywhere instead. It was so easy travelling across the city by bike...there are cycle lanes pretty much everywhere and it's FLAT...I recommend it, so much less stressful than trying to drive and park!
There is also a bike hire scheme http://www.sevici.es/ and you see loads of people using these bikes.

All my best learning experiences start with a problem I need to solve.
