I know of a suitable car for sale but the paperwork is still in the name of the previous owner and not being changed. I am led to believe that it has an ITV and that the circulation tax is up to date but you never know!
If I decide to proceed I would most certainly use a gestor.
What sort of problems if any are likely to arise? How long would it take to sort out?

Re: Spanish cars "without paperwork"
is the named owner still here ?
if so, its simple. you pay the current owner for the car, then go with the named owner and transfer it into your name.

Spanish guy lives in a village near Girona apparently.
I have 99% decided to give it a miss!

Re: Spanish cars "without paperwork"
As the car isn't in the name of the guy selling it can you be sure he has the right to sell the car?
I would be very cautious about this one.

I've got an inferiority complex, but it's not a very good one!

I had already decided to give it a miss. It has been "snapped up" by a Spanish guy from the next village.
