Astra 2 G Satellite

Postby Parilla » Mon Dec 29, 2014 2:44 pm

Heard talk in a bar at coffee time this morning, that the new satellite was launched successfully at the weekend, and further Sky channels are likely to be lost after the testing period. Have no idea about the validity of the information, or if it is just the goss machine rumbling into action. Has anybody else heard anything ?

doncha just love all the crap that is spouted around when a new satellite is launched... most "you willlose more or all channels" rumours in my area came from android /xbmc /costasmart box and other iptv sellers.... which peed off a lot of people who paid for such boxes on the sales pitch of you willose everything, and then in my area receptionof just about all channels actually improved! SO much for the "sale pitch / bar gossip" of loss of all channels..

No one (outside of ses and the broadcasters) will actually know which channel will move to 2g....

current rumours are that those on the aging 2a will be moved....

but then not too sure of the "further loss of sky channels" as most of them are likely to be on 2gs European beam, easy to receive in spain, which should in fact actually IMPROVE reception of some sky channels (particularly those on 2as north beam) for many areas of spain...

some loss may occur for those with smaller dishes if channels move to 2gs uk beam....

but then you are looking a few weeks / months before 2gis in place and operational anyway...
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it
