connection to water deposit

Postby campo babe » Thu May 25, 2006 6:09 pm

We have been told that in the next few months we will be connected to the village water, along with several other houses on the hillside.

We are nearest to the deposito. Has anyone any idea what sort of charges we are likely to have to pay for the installation of the meter and the connection? At the moment we are using well water.

These charges were the same for everyone when we had water connected. The price will depend on your local charges for connection.

When we moved in here last year, for some reason they changed the meter and charged us 300 euros.

Had the same problem in our village house. When we went to try to register to pay the water bill we were told we didn't have a supply, although we did, complete with meter. They insisted that we didn't and we ended up paying 400 euros for a piece of paper with a very nice stamp on it to give official recognition of the supply we already had. The meter does not seem to work however, so we are apparently not using any water.
