Post Offices

The Spanish post office "Correos" has long been known for its slow service, although there has been an improvement over recent years. Post offices are generally open from 8.30 am to 2 pm, although times will vary according to the size of the city/town.

Mudejar & Romanesque architecture

The mudéjar style of architecture emerged in Andalucía during the 12th century as Romanesque, with its close links to France and Italy, spread through northern and central Spain. The style, unique to southern Spain and lasting into the 16th century, flourished in each region as it was reconquered by the Christians.

La Lí­nea de la Concepción Beaches

Playa de Poniente is an urban beach backed by an area of large Brown tower blocks, located to the left of the port. The beach is around 700m long with grey, medium-grain sand and an average width of just 15m. It has a pretty landscaped paseo maritimo with its own cycle lane and plenty of nearby parking.

Fauna

Located on the approaches to the Strait of Gibraltar, the park is an important stopping place for migrating birds, as well as providing an important nesting site for various species of birds on its cliffs, such as cattle egrets, little egrets and yellow-legged gulls.
