A unique festival in an ancient place. The fourth edition of the of the El Argar Musical Festival takes place in the cultural site of El Argar in the village of Antas in Almería province.
Under the artistic direction of the Swiss-Cuban mezzo-soprano Ana Häsler, the festival is an unprecedented cultural experience, held in an absolutely unique location: EL ARGAR, in Antas, Almería — the cradle of one of the oldest civilizations in Europe, the Argaric culture of the Bronze Age, and a place where its family roots lie.
With a star-studded cast, musical direction by Miquel Ortega Pujol , and a stage design by Curro Cerreres adapted to the mysticism and power of the Argaric landscape, this production reimagines the story of Violetta Valéry under the golden light of the Mediterranean and the mountains that hold the secrets of an ancient civilization.

El Argar Classical Music Festival - 12th & 15th September 2024
The third edition of the of the El Argar Classical Music Festival took place in Almeria city & the Cuevas de Almanzora in September.
The 2024 edition of the festival is dedicated to Almeria composer José Padilla Universal and will feature Spanish lyrical voices, such as the tenor Aquiles Machado, the mezzo-soprano Ana Häsler, the baritone Andrés del Pino and the tenor Juan de Dios Mateos.
Previous years have also included events in the village of Antas. This was suspended in 2024 for technical reasons.

Second edition of the of the Argar Classical Music Festival 2023
The second edition of the of the Argar Classical Music Festival took place in Antas from 17th to 20th August 2023. The festival consisted of four main events. Opening Gala on 17th August in the open air at the El Algar de Antas Archaeological site. The voices of Montserrat Martí Caballé, Betsy Remedios, Ana Häsler a screening of Luis Santana, Enrique Parra and Àngel Òdena were acompanied on the piano by David Casanova. On 18th August in the summer cine de Paca in Antas were presented MUSIC IN SILENT FILM a Concert-Film with Pablo Mazuecos (Piano) and THE ORIGINS OF MUSIC a documentary film by Pablo Canalís directed by: Jorge Carbajales. On the 19th August the innovative BRONZE MELODIES was a visit/concert by guide Juan Gabriel Ruiz Pérez which took the visitors through the beautiful squares of Antas up to the beautiful terrace of the Argaric Culture Interpretation Center, with its spectacular views over the El Argar site. This was followed by performances of two of the most brilliant young violinists on the national scene, María del Mar Jurado and Daniel Zarazoga, who rounded off the visit with a virtuoso repertoire. On the 20th August following 'Tuba Félix Ismael Gallardo' the closing performance of the festival was a concert by pianist and improvisor Francisco Fierro titled "The forgotten art of improvisation". Tickets for the full festival were 45€. Opening ceremony 20€ other nights were 12€.

The first edition of the Argar Classical Music Festival took place in the open air at the El Algar de Antas Archaeological site next to the village of Antas, near Vera, Almeria province. Tue 26th July, Concert by Ana Häsler, Mezzosopran and David Casanova on Piano inspired by the Argar de Antas. Wed 27th July concert in the village by young Andalucian musicians. Concerts at 21.30.
