NUBE Estepona Opens in Spectacular Style Above Playa del Cristo

The grand opening of NUBE Estepona, a stunning beach club perched above the sands of Playa del Cristo. With panoramic views across the bay and one of the finest sunset locations on the coast, the venue opened on blue-sky day and super-high visibility evening. Ironically there was not a cloud in the sky.

The opening night was a feast for the senses. Elegant models dressed as floating clouds – "nubes" in Spanish – drifted through the venue, creating a dreamlike atmosphere that perfectly reflected the club's identity. Shea entertained the party in the early evening with popular melodies accompanied by the DJ swapping between the decks and a  saxophone which blended effortlessly with the power of the setting sun.

As the celebrations got underway, guests at the restaurant enjoyed Mediterranean cuisine, signature cocktails and premium champagne, as well as the stylish hookah lounge. As the sun set, the sun shades were raised to reveal the stunning backdrop. Meanwhile, the multi-talented singer-songwriter DJ Lianfaz was playing music. The energy and beat rose, and the terrace overlooking Playa del Cristo was transformed into a popular party destination.

The highlight of the night was DJ Odyssay, whose internationally recognised blend of melodic techno and progressive house held the attention of both diners and dancers alike. Wearing his signature white wide-brimmed sombrero and cloak, Odyssay delivered a performance worthy of the spectacular setting, combining powerful rhythms with atmospheric melodies to create emotional, uplifting sets. His 2024 released signature track, 'Religion', is a firm favourite among electronic music fans, and his sunset performance at NUBE provided the perfect soundtrack to the venue's opening night.

As the evening reached its climax, a dazzling fireworks display illuminated the skies above Playa del Cristo, reflecting across the bay and providing a memorable finale to an unforgettable opening night.

NUBE Estepona has arrived, combining a premium beach club, a Mediterranean restaurant, a sunset terrace and a nightlife experience. Located in one of Estepona's most sought-after areas, it is set to become a popular destination throughout the summer season, though not an inexpensive one.

Opened in May 2026, NUBE Estepona Beach Club made its debut with a stylish soft-opening celebration on 2 May, followed by its Grand Opening on 5 June. Set above the stunning Playa del Cristo Bay, NUBE brings together dining, breathtaking sunsets, and a vibrant day-to-night atmosphere - perhaps one of the best on the Costa del Sol.

By day, NUBE is a relaxed beach club and restaurant where guests can enjoy Mediterranean flavours, refreshing cocktails, and panoramic sea views. As the sun begins to set, the venue transforms into an elegant outdoor restaurant and bar terrace, with resident DJs providing the soundtrack to one of Estepona’s most spectacular natural shows.

What truly sets NUBE apart is its unrivalled location overlooking Playa del Cristo Bay. Facing due west, the terrace captures the very last rays of sunshine and offers front-row seats to some of the finest sunsets on the coast. Access

Walking from Avenida del Carmen, there are steps leading down from the Mirador del Carmen. You can also walk or park at Playa del Cristo (vehicle access from the Marina) via the path and steps or the elevator in the garage. You can also access the area by vehicle from the roundabout on Avenida del Carmen, descending the unmarked Calle Playa del Carmen, and parking in the garage. An attendant will direct you to the elevator, which you can take up to Nube Beach Club.
