Iglesia de la Presentación de Cortes
This is a simple yet interesting church. One of the few buildings not to have undergone any modifications, it exhibits characteristics typical of a Mudejar church. Its ceilings, in both the nave and the baptismal chapel, are of great importance due to their rich polychrome decoration. Construction began in the late 1540s under the direction of the stonemason Ambrosio de Villegas and the carpenter Bartolomé de Meneses, and was completed around 1562 when Juan de Riaño carved the doorway, one of the building's most significant features. This clearly shows influences from the Jaén Renaissance, contrasting with the building's otherwise simple design. It is located in Plaza Cortes.
