Iglesia de la Virgen de los Dolores
This basilica-style church has a single nave covered by a Mudejar truss and an octagonal apse. Built between 1530 and 1540, it was repaired in 1593 when a bell gable was added. A new truss was added to the church in 1636. This truss is notable as it features an octagonal structure at the apse with finely crafted panelling and a wide decorative frieze that tapers towards the base.
The exterior boasts a Renaissance doorway, carved in 1544 by the stonemason Cristóbal Nuño. Opened by a semicircular arch between Corinthian half-columns on pedestals, the doorway is adorned with beautiful decorations of flames and vegetal finials, as well as the coat of arms of Bishop Antonio del Águila. A grand bell gable occupies the entire front wall at the foot of the façade. The church is located on Calle Rosario.
