Iglesia de Nuestra Señora del Rosario (Laroles)
The church was built in the sixteenth century. The tower, which was added in the eighteenth century, is the most notable feature and is crowned by a unique dome for La Alpujarra. The church has a Latin cross plan inscribed in a rectangular perimeter and comprises three naves, a transept, a crossing and a main chapel. Two semicircular arches on either side of the central nave connect it to the side naves. On the Epistle side of the transept, there is a square chamber with a dome adorned with geometric stucco designs. Currently, the arch connecting it to the transept is blocked off. The tower, built entirely of brick, is located at the foot of the church and is covered with a curvilinear slate spire on a hipped roof. Windows with raised mouldings open along the entire side of the façade. It is located in Plaza de la Iglesia.
