Sierra de Segura
The Sierra de Segura is a comarca or area in Jaen province. it is a rural area in the far north-east part of the province. It comprised of 13 distinct municipalities, each offering a unique blend of history and natural beauty. Situated within the Sierras de Cazorla, Segura y las Villas Natural Park, these villages are nestled amidst breathtaking mountain landscapes, inviting visitors to escape the hustle and bustle of city life.
The Sierra de Segura of Jaen consists of the following municipal districts.

Beas de Segura,
Benatae,
Génave,
Hornos,
La Puerta de Segura,
Orcera,
Puente de Génave,
Santiago-Pontones,
Segura de la Sierra,
Siles,
Torres de Albanchez,
Villarrodrigo.
Many of these villages, such as Segura de la Sierra and Siles, proudly display their rich historical heritage, often featuring remnants of Moorish architecture, like the impressive Torre del Cubo in Siles. Segura de la Sierra, in particular, stands out as a prominent member of the "Ruta del Castillo" (Castle Route), showcasing its historical significance.
Beyond their historical interest, the villages of the Sierra de Segura offer a variety of attractions. Génave, for example, has garnered recognition for its pioneering efforts in organic olive oil production, producing the renowned "Oro de Génave." Meanwhile, Villarrodrigo boasts a renowned bullfighting cattle ranch, adding another dimension to the region's cultural tapestry.

Sierras de Cazorla, Segura y Las Villas Natural Park
90% of the comarca of Sierra de Segura lies within the Sierras de Cazorla, Segura y Las Villas Natural Park. With a total surface area of 209,920Ha and covering almost a fifth of Jaén province, this park is Spain’s largest protected area and one of its most extensive forested zones. Located in eastern Jaen province, it connects the Sierra Morena and the Subbética mountain ranges.
