Antequera Sana Ana Station
Located 17 km north-west of Antequera town centre, Antequera Santa Ana is the main hub on both the Madrid–Málaga and Antequera–Granada high-speed lines. It also accommodates Iberian-gauge Media Distancia (MD) trains on routes such as:
- Algeciras–Ronda–Bobadilla–Antequera Santa Ana–Granada
Seville Santa Justa–Antequera Santa Ana–Granada–Almería

Antequera Ciudad AVE Station
In January 2023, a brand-new AVE station opened close to the historic centre, reviving rail access for high-speed and Avant services under the name Antequera-Ciudad. It offers direct AVE connections to Madrid, Málaga, Seville, Córdoba, and Barcelona, as well as faster Avant services, all from platforms located just 1 km north of the old station.
Practical Tips
- Tickets & Timetables: Purchase AVE and Avant tickets via Renfe or at station kiosks. Area MD tickets and schedules are available on the Renfe website.
- Transfers: Those arriving at Santa Ana can take a regular taxi (approximately 15 minutes to the centre) or look out for the Renfe-operated shuttle bus when booking a “town-centre” ticket

Getting to Antequera by Bus
The main bus station in Antequera is located at Paseo García del Olmo, s/n, just a 5-minute walk from the town centre. It serves as the hub for intercity bus services, offering amenities such as a waiting room, parking, and a nearby taxi rank.

Antequera Santa Ana station is the Antequera train station on the AVE high speed rail line and is located about 10km to the north west of the town just to the north of the just of the A-384 in the direction of Campillos. Antequera Santa Ana.

By Air
Malaga Airport is located 60km from Antequera. Granada Airport is about 90km and Seville Airport is about 165km. Plans to build an airport at Antequera in the late 2000's have been shelved. The 'Aerodromo de Antequera' a 700m ashphalt club airstrip for microlights is 10kn north of Antquera at 37º 6.0' N - 4º 33.7' W.
