Fuengirola is one of the Costa del Sol's most popular resorts, being just 25km from Malaga, located between Marbella and Benalmadena.
This seaside town has an excellent selection of hotels for all your holiday needs, from five-star deluxe resorts, to more low-key family-run establishments and self-catering apartments. Most hotels are located right on the seafront, so the beach is just a few steps away, or at most ten minutes' walk. The beachfront extends for five miles, from Moorish Sohail Castle, northwards along the coast towards Torreblanca.
Many hotels in Fuengirola are tall blocks, designed so that all rooms have a balcony with sea view, sometimes looking kilometres up the coast towards neighbouring Benalmadena. Nearly all hotels have their own swimming pool set in beautiful gardens or terraces, supplied with ample sunloungers and often with an addition pool for children, as well as other facilities such as live entertainment and activity clubs, games rooms, and playgrounds for younger guests; cots and highchairs are usually available. Some hotels in Fuengirola have suites, handy for families as children can sleep in an adjoining room, providing more space but with the little ones close at hand.
The larger hotels have shops, hairdressers and beauty salons, handy for those holiday essentials such as suncream, newspaper and magazines, books and bikinis, or a quick emergency waxing. For those wishing to enjoy Fuengirola's nightlife, some hotels have their own discos, as well as musical shows in the evening. Spa fans also have plenty of choice, with several hotels offering pampering treatments such as massages, facials and wraps.
