Golf Courses in the Huelva Province
Golf Dunas de Doñana
This modern golf course is located on the beach, combining the wonderful sights and sounds of the coast with the tranquillity afforded by the adjacent nature reserve. The course has wide multi-tees, Bermuda fairways, large greens and numerous large lakes to negotiate at several holes. The course is a varied combination of links and American styles, suitable for all abilities.
Club de Golf Bellavista
This 18-hole course was designed by Luis Recasens and is set among pine groves near the beautiful beaches of the Costa de la Luz in Huelva.
Islantilla Golf Club
A 27-hole course, providing three different 18-hole options, it is suitable for all levels of expertise. It borders the Atlantic Ocean and is the first in Spain to be certified according to international standards for quality and environmental systems.
Club de Golf Corta Atalaya
In 1990 the new Atalaya golf course was built next to the village of Minas de Rio Tinto; the original was founded in the 19th century within the Rio Tinto copper mine. The course is 2,300 metres long, with grassed greens but the fairways are bare earth, reminiscent of the original course used by miners and engineers.
Isla Canela golf
Isla Canela is a natural island, which is connected by a bridge to Ayamonte. It is situated at the mouth of the river Guadiara on the border with Portugal. There are magnificent sea views taking in the coastal marshland and Atlantic Ocean.
The flat course is easy to walk around without the need for a buggy. It has been designed so the natural sand dunes give shape to the narrow fairways, while the strategically placed palms trees, as well as the eucalyptus and olives, can cause some difficulties.
Costa Esuri (East) Golf Club
The marshlands of this area bordering Portugal have been well integrated into the second 18-hole course at Costa Esuri, giving it added difficulty but providing a magnificent setting with views of the town of Ayamonte and towards the Atlantic Ocean. Slightly shorter, though somewhat more technical than the West Course, one of the main challenges here for all players lies in the sloping greens and dog-leg fairways.
Costa Esuri (West) Golf Club
This course opened in 2006. It is situated in a very beautiful area overlooking the River Guadiana which forms the border with Portugal.
Golf Courses in the Seville Province
Real Club Golf Sevilla
The Real Club Sevilla Golf course requires strength and strategy to navigate the stands of well established trees and natural lagoons. Although flat with wide fairways, the trees make things more difficult and the undulating greens will test one's short game.
Club Zaudín Golf
A parkland course, designed by Gary Player, which blends in perfectly with its natural surroundings. There are marvelous views down the valley and over the city. The fairways are wide and bordered by 10 metres of semi rough, allowing experienced players to hone their game and others to enjoy it.
Club de Golf Hato Verde
The abundance of vegetation in the form of oaks and poplars, date and palm trees provides a lush setting for this par-71 course only 15 minutes from the centre of Sevilla. Designed by Manolo Piñero and opened in 2008, it undulates over uneven terrain and is very different to others.
Real Club Pineda, Seville
Pineda is just 400 metres from the Betis Football Club Stadium in Sevilla. From there take Su Eminencia road.
Las Minas Golf course
This course was formerly called La Rocina, it is close to the beautiful Doñana nature park and Seville. Raised greens well protected by bunkers are significant features on this 9-hole course designed by Antonio García Garrido. Water comes into play on most of the holes. Laid out over a flat terrain among olive and orange trees, many of the holes are long and fairly difficult par-5s, but the greens are generous. There are four strategically positioned lakes.
