Scream

Situated in the heart of Puerto Banus, on the second line, this club is a must for lovers of loud music. As the name suggests it is a lively and often raucous venue, and Scream attracts a predominantly young crowd. Dance music booms out until the early hours of the morning, and many guest DJs take to the decks during the summer time. Opened in 1995.

Colegio Miguel de Cervantes

Built in 1928, the Miguel de Cervantes School is rectangular in layout, clad in exposed brick and has two recesses and twenty-four classrooms. Cervantes was in Lopera between February 22 and 25, 1592, in order to collect wheat and barley for the Invincible Armada.

Malaga Airport - Transfers

Monda

Monda is a tiny town (or large village) in the mountains just inland from the Costa del Sol. Situated past Ojén on the A-355, it lies a mountain valley at 365m and has a population of less than 2,000. It is well-linked by road with Marbella, just 15km away, as well as Coin and Cartama (for Malaga). Thanks to development on the nearby coast over the last few decades, the town has enjoyed new prosperity.

Alcazaba

Important medieval fortress that defended the road between Almería and Granada, built before the tenth century. It continued its heyday during the thirteenth and fifteenth centuries, until it was occupied by the Christians in 1489. Today, only three towers and some walls remain.

Benalmadena Exhibition Centre

The minimalist brick construction designed by Angle Cañizares and Raúl Gante, is evocative of the walls of Nazareth. The Moorish theme to the building is also reflected in the main entrance and exit doors.

Hotel Boutique Elvira Plaza

To stay on one of Seville’s prettiest and most historic squares, the tree-lined Plaza Doña Elvira, so you can explore barrio Santa Cruz on foot. The hotel is located right on the pedestrianised square, which is located in barrio Santa Cruz, close to the Alcazar. Many rooms overlook the plaza's orange trees with their lush foliage, providing essential shade in summer, and beautiful ceramic-tiled benches which line its cobbled walkways.

Centro de Interpretación de la Música Lombarda

This museum exhibits musical instruments from 'El Viaje de Lúa', a journey around the world through rhythms and melodies, and the materials used to make instruments for liturgy, spiritual invocation, courtship and entertainment. Some of the materials used in their construction include wood, cane, bamboo, gourds, coconuts, seeds, skins, bones, horns, clay and metal.

Iznate

One of the towns within the comarca of Axarquia, Iznate is known as "the paradise of the Muscat grape", where grapes, almonds, avocados and olives are produced. Iznate also belongs to Ruta del Sol y del Aguacate. In this town, visitors can walk along the steep, narrow, winding streets, typical of a Moorish urban settlement. Houses have carefully whitewashed facades adorned with pots of geraniums and other flowers.

Yoga & Tai Chi Courses

Yoga and tai chi are quite popular in Andalucía and classes can be found in both public and private centres. Because of the nature of these activities, you should be able to join a course and enjoy learning new skills even if you are only here for a two or three week holiday.

Ermita de Febeire

The simple chapel was painted white and has only one door. It is currently in a state of abandonment. Located north of the town.

Hotels - Casino Hotels on the Costa del Sol

Casino hotels are those which offer, or allow access to, casinos as part of the available facilities.

Generally, these hotels offer a number of other facilities around the casino, such as bars, restaurants or swimming pools, to add an element of luxury and entertainment to a guest’s stay. Algarrobo Costa

The village Algarrobo is divided into two parts, one inland and the other coastal, located 3 km away from each other. The inland village is usually referred to as "Algarrobo Pueblo" and is where the town hall is located. The coastal town is called "Algarrobo Costa". It is named after the algarrobo (carob) tree, with long, dark (when ripe) pods; carob is used as a sweetener.

The fountain is located next to the Iglesia de Santa Cruz and is sheltered by a niche.

Festivals in Castillejar

For as long as can be remembered, the beginning of February has been reserved for a special bonfire night, when villagers, neighbours and visitors are invited to taste all sorts of local food and wine. Meats and other products are donated by the villagers and a huge communal barbeque is enjoyed by everyone.
