Arjona

Arjona has achieved popularity and fame for its olive oil production. The integration of the olive tree into the landscape, the economy and the way of life of the locals over the centuries have accumulated a cultural background for the town with the olive tree and its products as the main exponents. It has about 5,500 inhabitants.

The Sierra de Cazorla comarca or area of Jaen province is the rural area and the large natural park in the north east of the province.

Museo de Arte y Costumbres “Juan Eslava Galán”

The Museum of Art and Tradition was launched in the summer of 2011. Since that date, through the museum’s inauguration in November 2012 and continuing today, hard work has been undertaken to complete an important collection of ethnographic and traditional objects used by residents of Arjona throughout its most recent history.

The Sierra de Segura comarca or area of Jaen province is the rural area in the far north-east part of the province.

Cazorla

Cazorla is steeped in tradition. Its origins stretch back six centuries before Christ, although it was officially founded by the Romans, who named it Carcesa. Its splendour grew under Moorish and then Christian control.

Segura de la Sierra

It is evident at first glance that Segura de la Sierra is part of the Ruta del Castillo (Castle Route) through the lands of Andalusian. Its urban centre, which was declared a Historical and Artistic Site, is crowned by an impressive castle of Muslim origin remodelled during the Christian era, which has the category of National Monument. Just behind the castle you can also see the so-called Torre del Agua, a watchtower-type tower similar to the Torre del Espolón that is also found in the municipality of Segura de la Sierra. It has about 1800 inhabitants.

Hotel Puente Romano Fitness Club

A beautiful setting for a gym in a light and open room, but with limited equipment compared to some of the larger gyms in the area. The Fitness Club is secondary to the 10 tennis and 4 paddle tennis courts, but still offers aerobics classes by qualified professionals. With membership comes use of the sauna and Turkish baths, and the opening hours are excellent at seven days a week.

Alamedilla

Alamedilla is a village in Granada province, whose name means "little elm avenue". It is made up of five areas: Alamedilla, La Hacha, Los Oqueales, El Peñón y Rambla de los Lobos. Situated in the region of Hoya de Guadix y Marquesado, Alamedilla has its origins in the Moorish-era hamlets which were bestowed upon noblemen from the north of Spain after the Christian Reconquest.

Alicún de Ortega

Alicún de Ortega is a village in the north-east Granada province, situated close to the border with Jaén province. Its natural environment attracts both nature lovers and hikers. Alicun was the setting for the Batalla de Piedras in 1486, when Christian troops defeated the forces of the Nasrid ruler of Granada and recaptured the town, opening the way for the Catholic Monarchs to reconquer the capital.

Galera

The village of Galera is a natural beauty spot, which is steeped in the history of many cultures going back some 4,000 years. With a population of less than 1,500, this unspoiled village in the Granada 'Altiplano' area and is one of the six villages with makes up the Huescar region within that area.
