Holiday Home Rentals - La Cala de Mijas
Holidaymakers who fill the holiday apartments in La Cala de Mijas every summer are testament to just what this part of the world has to offer. As with much of the rest of the Costa del Sol, the sun, sea and sand are all present and correct, as are the bars, restaurants, shopping centres and other tourist amenities. La Cala is a village and a lovel place to walk around and down to the beach. Golf is also a major Mijas attraction and the many fine golf courses nearby include La Cala, El Chaparral, Cabopino and Los Olivos.
Much of the holliday accommodation to be found in La Cala de Mijas, along and just back from the beach-front, it tends to be holiday apartments. Larger holiday villas for rent are mainly located a kilometer inland and these offer stunning sea and mountain views.
Do check the location of any holiday apartment on the map. We think of La Cala de Mijas as the overgrown fishing village bounded by the sea and the route of the A-7 coastal highway. Some apartments are describes as being in La Cala de Mijas when they are located 2-3 km inland. This may suite you requirements, parking is dificult in the village whereas inland parking is much easier. Simply walking to the beach is the other way round.
