Palodú, one-Michelin-star restaurant in Málaga
Close to the Mercado de Atarazanas, Palodú – the name means liquorice root, a popular childhood sweet and natural remedy - is helmed by chefs Cristina Cánovas and Diego Aguilar, with Cristina’s sister Ana as sommelier. Their previous experience embraces Tragabuches and Tickets. They call their way of working “cocina dual”, whereby both chefs have equal footing.
Opened in 2015, Palodú moved to its current location in 2023. The dining room seats 20, with four more at the bar.
The 15-course Palodú menu, for €130, might include ox tongue and kefir tartare or jamon iberico broth with celery leaf powder. For €110, the Menu Alcazul has 12 courses – mackerel with garlic soup and seaweed. Wine pairing is another €75 and €65.
Palodu was awarded its Michelin star in 2026.
