Ermita de Santa Bárbara
Don Antonio Cañizares, then Archbishop of Granada and later Cardinal Primate of Toledo, inaugurated the Ermita de Santa Bárbara in September 2000. The local council built the present chapel on the ruins of an earlier hermitage at the northern end of Zagra, at the top of a steep hill known as El Calvario.
The building has a simple, modern design, with clean lines and a prominent brick espadaña (bell gable). It sits within a small, enclosed area surrounded by a wall topped with railings, and its elevated position offers views over the surrounding landscape. The hermitage is dedicated to Saint Barbara (Santa Bárbara), another patron saint of Zagra. Located on Calle Calvario
