Fuente Alta

Fuente Alta (High Fountain) is a small rock-cut necropolis located southeast of Zagra, near the Fuente Alta Spring. Dating from the 6th to the 7th century, it contains double rectangular graves carved directly into the limestone.

Some feature a stepped edge carved to support the stone slabs that once covered the tombs. The site forms part of the wider network of Late Antiquity and early Medieval archaeological remains found around Zagra.
