New Flamenco
The ‘new’ flamenco can be dated back to the moment when this most self-sufficient of national musics started flirting with other musical styles, such as jazz, salsa and other central/south American styles, pop and rock. In popular music, nuevo flamenco is historically identified with bands such as Pata Negra, and younger groups such as Ojos de Brujo.
