El Dique 24
It is a large containment dam on the Chico River with a fall of about 30 metres. Built from metamorphic rock masonry and located between Cañar and Soportújar, it is well worth a visit for the magnificent views of the landscape it offers. Recently, the Cañar employment workshop built a completely handmade, two-section bridge using fallen tree wood to safely cross the Chico River. Due to heavy rainfall in winter 2010, the riverbed rose considerably, carrying away the bridge built by the workshop students the previous year.
