CNS 2* From July 17th to 19th 2025
CNS 2* From August 14th to 16th 2025

CNS 2* stands for "Concurso Nacional de Salto 2 estrellas," which translates in English o "National Jumping Competition 2 stars." This is a national-level show jumping competition with a certain level of prize money and difficulty, attracting a specific caliber of riders and horses.

The "stars" in equestrian show jumping competitions, particularly those designated as "CSI" (Concours de Saut International) or "CNS" (Concurso Nacional de Salto), indicate the level of difficulty and prize money offered at the event. The range typically goes from 1 star (*) to 5 stars (*****), with 5 stars being the highest and most challenging level.

1 Star (*): This is the entry level for international competitions. Jump heights are lower, and prize money is generally the lowest among the star levels. For CSI 1*, the maximum jump height is around 1.40 meters.
2 Stars (**): This level is a step up in difficulty and prize money. For CSI 2*, the maximum jump height is around 1.45 meters. The CNS 2* you inquired about falls into this category at the national level in Spain.
3 Stars (***): Competitions at this level are more challenging, with higher jumps and increased prize money, attracting more experienced riders. 4 Stars (****): These are high-level international competitions with significant prize money and demanding courses, often serving as qualifiers for major championships. Jumps can reach up to 1.60 meters in CSI 4* competitions.
5 Stars (*****): This represents the pinnacle of international show jumping, including prestigious events like the Olympics, World Equestrian Games, and major Grand Prix competitions. These events feature the most challenging courses with the highest jumps (up to 1.60 meters and sometimes more in special classes like puissance) and the largest prize purses.
